The MySQL development team has announced the release of version 5.0 as production ready. "MySQL 5.0 is the most ambitious release in MySQL's history. MySQL 5.0 delivers the enterprise features the community has been asking for, including Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Information Schema, XA Distributed Transactions, and new Storage Engines.
